Hi, I’m Carine Poirier, a proud bilingual stylist, from my small town of Baie Ste-Anne.I’m a small town girl with big town dreams! After graduating highschool in Miramichi, I moved to Moncton to attend the Jon Raymond College for Cosmetology where my mother, aunts and cousins had attended before me. So I guess you could say it’s in my blood.
In 2010, after having worked here at Razor’s Edge, I made the decision to move to Alberta. It allowed me to flourish in my career and I experienced some wonderful opportunities such as attending numerous classes, with some of the best stylists/educators in the business, in places such as Edmonton, Mexico etc .
My biggest accomplishment, however, came to be in October of 2015, a beautiful baby girl named Willow Ivy. After being evacuated, from the 2016 Fort McMurray fires and seeking refuge in the place I call home, the stay quickly became permanent and I returned to my passion in November, 2016.
My years of experience, have taught me many things in this business and I can say that my strengths are in cuts and colors. I never shy away from a challenge and take great pride in my work. Whether it be fashion colours or the sleekest of blondes!
I’m a “shoot from the hip” kind of girl and never hesitate to give my honest opinion, I will only do work that I am proud of and have no shame in calling mine. Razor’s Edge is more than just my place of work, it is my family and I feel blessed to be a part of it! My grandmother always said ,”We’re at OUR BEST when we’re with our OWN”…and HERE I AM ?.
